Meet The Team

We live in an age where innovation is highly prized across all areas of business.

Protecting, enforcing and exploiting the processes, methods and products that comprise a business’s creative portfolio – its inventions, brands and designs – is crucial to success over competitors.

Our experienced IP lawyers provide expert advice across the full spectrum of IP rights, including copyright, trade marks and brand management, as well as passing off, design rights and patents.

We advise on every stage of IP development – from the registration, protection, portfolio management, commercialisation and enforcement of IP rights, to brand strategy, revenue generation and internationalisation.

We advise on corporate structuring for IP, exploiting IP rights and tech transfer agreements, as well as the IP aspects of substantial commercial or corporate deals. We also handle UK and international trade mark and design filings.

On the contentious side, we zealously enforce and defend IP infringement claims, and undertake trade mark and design prosecution work, filing and defending trade mark oppositions at a national and international level. Unusually for a UK-based law firm, we are also able to represent clients before the EUIPO.

What’s more, we can help with domain name disputes and advise at the intersection of IP and competition law.

  • Advising REDA Industrial Materials FZE, a Dubai-based international chemical distribution company, in relation to three EU trade mark oppositions at the EUIPO and a number of trade mark filings
  • Advising Pharmatelligence regarding the launch (including internationally) of a new branded product, LivingstoneIQ, securing the right to register and use the brand in the US
  • Advising Portman Healthcare Limited in relation to a variety of intellectual property matters including brand protection, third party conflicts and IP matters in acquisition agreements
  • Advising Made.com, a London-based homewares and furniture brand, on its IP position, agreements with designers and collaborations with a well-known London museum
  • Advising Trinity Brands, the owner of high-end fashion labels, on all business operations matters, including protecting the IP owned by the brands in the group and various IP licencing arrangements
  • Advising a leading national charity on its business-critical IT and business transformation programme, including IP licencing, collaboration and commercialisation arrangements with the provider
  • Advising a global developer of advanced ultrasound skills training simulators on its commercial contracts and the protection of its proprietary IP rights
  • Advising a food manufacturing business on various licensing and manufacturing agreements, and on strategies to protect and exploit its brand
