Hive Society event – should mediation be mandatory in the workplace?

On 17 October, Claire Knowles will be on the panel at this year's Hive Society event on whether workplace mediation should be mandatory.

The event is aimed at mediators and professionals in dispute resolution and will look at whether mandatory mediation can be enforced, whether self-determination is working for workplace mediation and the idea that if mediation is mandatory, does it loses its appeal as it's no longer party directed?

The evening conversation will be guided by the Chair, David D'Souza, who is CIPD's Head of Engagement & London and will feature four panellists arguing for and against the motion. There will also be a chance for guests to raise questions and share opinions on the topic.
